Children in Need

We had a ‘Funky Hair Day’ on Friday to raise money for Children in Need. Everyone dyed or decorated their hair and donated £1 – we raised £188! -see photos in main school gallery
French Breakfast

On Friday the 24th October, Year 5 had a special French breakfast in the school dining room at 8 o’clock. The children had to ask for croissants, pain au chocolats and hot chocolate in French. Thank you to all of the teachers, kitchen staff and site supervisors who helped to make this a special morning to remember, merci!- See images in photo gallery.
Junior Schools Maths Day

Children from 6P and 6H went toArnold on Friday 10th October for their Junior Schools Maths Day. Highfield Priory came first out of 22 school - well done to the team - see photos on year six class sites.
New Playground Toys

Hockey Coaching by England Players

Matt Taylor and Alastair Wilson gave Year 6 hockey players a coaching session at Casterton School - see pictures in sports gallery.
Harvest Festival

In assembly Mr Williams presented a cheque for £802.35 to Mrs Debbie Barker a representative for MedEquip4 Kids the charity we sponsored for harvest including sponsorship money from Mrs Bedford and Mrs Taylor for completing the Great North Run.

Highfield Priory welcomes its new Deputy Head

The staff and pupils welcome Mr Duke who has joined the school as Deputy Head and year 5 form teacher.
Record Achievement in SATs

The SATs results are with us and I can tell you we recorded 100% Level 4 in all subjects with 92% at level 5 in English, 65% at level 5 in maths and 92% at Level 5 in science. The level 5 English and science results are records for Highfield children. Congratulations!
Krakatoa Drums

A drum group from Widermere St Anne’s school called Krakatoa performed in assembly.
5* Food Hygiene

Our school was awarded a 5 Star (excellent) rating for food hygiene by the Environmental Health Department of Preston City Council.
Cross Country National Finals
