As parents of a nine year old daughter, a six year old son and an eight month old baby daughter my husband and I expect rather a lot from a school.
Firstly, a nurturing and friendly nursery where our children can, and have, expanded their elementary social skills and been introduced to the academic basics by caring and approachable staff. It is reassuring to know that by first attending the school's own nursery, the transition to full-time school has been so much gentler on each child. When our son was in nursery, there was many a fine day when I would arrive to collect him, to find my son and his classmates happily playing in the nursery garden, out in the fresh air amongst an array of outdoor play equipment. It is very important to us that our children have the chance to learn and develop through play, and I am content that the right balance is achieved at Highfield Priory nursery.
Our experience of the Highfield Priory infant and junior departments has been excellent. We are delighted with our children's academic progress but just as importantly we are extremely heartened by the level of enthusiasm and interest for learning our son and daughter display. The teachers deliver a diverse curriculum and I have great confidence in them, both in an academic sense and a pastoral one. Children are rewarded in many ways for their effort and achievements and this, I believe, is crucial to nurturing their confidence and enthusiasm.
Each year that our daughter moves up through the juniors brings a new batch of opportunities and sports etc to experience, it's really quite exciting, even from a parent's point of view! There are just not enough hours in the day when you're nine at Highfield Priory School.
My son and daughter have very different characters and qualities but both children are thriving. I am happy to say that when I collect my son from his year one class and I enquire as to how his day has been, it is lovely to hear "I've had a great day Mummy!"
As parents, we realise how important it is to give our children the right start in life and that we only get one chance. We truly believe that we are giving our children the best start that we possibly can at Highfield Priory School.
Kind regards,
Mrs Chrissie C Haworth

During Xanthe's early years, the state education system was failing to provide her the with the learning and development opportunities she so clearly needed. As a self-employed single parent, private education was a major investment and a decision that could not be taken lightly. After considering several independent schools, I selected Highfield Priory for its structured and well balanced approach.
Highfield has brought out the very best in Xanthe by presenting opportunities to her that would have been unavailable in most primary schools. I believe the small class sizes, academic excellence, discipline, team orientation, sporting excellence and a curriculum that goes well beyond the classroom have all been instrumental in shaping Xanthe’s confidence and personal development and in her achieving a scholarship to one of the UK’s leading independent girls’ schools.
I would not hesitate to recommend Highfield Priory to prospective parents.
Yours sincerely
Julie Graham

The academic results at Highfield speak for themselves, but what really made us send our two children there? The warmth and friendliness that was extended to us on our first visit gave us a great insight as to what this establishment was all about. Our children have and continue to thrive in this happy and nuturing environment, where they are treated as the individuals they are, where they are encouraged and praised daily and learning is without doubt fun. As parents what more could we ask?

I like Highfield Priory because it is a happy school. The teachers are the best teachers a child could ever have. Mr Williams, our headmaster, is a great headmaster and he is building lots of new facilities such as a new science lab! When I came to Highfield people always treated me as they want me to treat them and that is why I like this school. It is the best school in the world, we always treat new people as we would want them to treat us. Each day our school is getting better and better. All of the teachers encourage us to do well and try our best. I will be so sad when I leave this school because I love going to this school. Highfield is a nice and friendly school.

I like Highfield Priory School because all of the teachers are nice and the lessons are great, my favourite lesson is swimming. There are other lesson to like geography, maths,
history, art, science and ICT and many more, they are all fun as well. There is a student council where you talk about things to make the school a greater place. The dinners are good, on Friday we have fish and chips. The clubs are great, there is netball, cookery, short tennis, football, hockey, whizz kids and dance club. The headmaster is Mr Williams and he is a really good headmaster.
