Highfield Priory School believes passionately in building up children’s confidence so that “I Can’t” is wiped from a child’s vocabulary forever.

Team Work and Confidence Building at Highfield Priory

Team Building Activity Days

Each year group in the Junior School embarks on a team building activity day in which they put their problem-solving and team work skills to the test in a series of physical problem-solving activities. The children develop their communication skills as they talk each other through the challenge and decide on the best approach to each new problem. They learn to lead and to follow; to speak and to listen; to encourage and to praise. They develop resilience when their ideas don’t work and they have to look for a new approach to their problem.

Residential Activity Weekend

A residential activity weekend is offered to children in Years 5 and 6. This helps the children to grow in confidence and independence as well as developing their ability to work with, and support each other, as part of a team. Their challenges include high wire ropes, an underground maze, abseiling and kayaking. It is an extremely popular weekend!

Highfield Priory School is feeling fantastic.

It's the final week!

Just a reminder to all Y6 to bring in a memory stick and see Mr Drake if they would like a copy of the leavers' assembly powerpoint/video.

There is so much to look forward to this week including the Y6 Play, special interest day and prize giving. It's going to be a busy one but we can't wait!
