"Pupils in Year 6 enjoy considerable success in their 11+ entry and independent school entrance examinations."

ISI Inspection Report, 2023

Aiming High: Secondary Schools

At Highfield, we work to ensure that each child fulfils his or her potential and takes full advantage of all the opportunities Highfield Priory has to offer. Each pupil is challenged and stretched at every opportunity with the emphasis remaining on literacy, numeracy and scientific investigation. Additionally, we seek to develop children's creative and imaginative aptitudes, whether they are in music, art, sport or the performing arts.

Children are prepared for their first choice of senior school which the majority of our children achieve. Each year, a number of children are offered scholarships including the highest available for academic performance, musical or sporting ability. A high percentage of children gain a place at Grammar School from outside the catchment area. Children at Highfield continue to aim high year on year.

A big congratulations to Highfield alumna Manavi whose team were victorious in the 'Youth Speaks' North of England Final last Sunday!

After previously winning the regional and district competitions, their topic for the final was 'The Impact of AI on the creative industry' with Manavi acting as the main speaker in a team of three girls.
