Holiday Club

Our Holiday Club is run by our Early Years Practitioners and Classroom Assistants who already have strong relationships with the children. Holiday club is available throughout the school holidays.

Children are placed into two clubs:

  • Preschool and Reception
  • Year 1 to Year 6

All Activities are differentiated by the children’s age group. Children are also able to influence and request activities based on their interests. We use the Highfield Haven, Sports Pitch, and various rooms within the school for different activities. Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Art
  • A variety of sporting activities
  • Building Lego structures
  • Celebrating world festivals (such as carnivals)
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Creative Crafts- including crocheting, knitting, painting and clay modelling
  • Day trips
  • Forest School workshops
  • Language workshops
  • Playing board games
  • Producing talent shows
  • Watching films

For our Forest School enthusiasts, we offer a Forest School holiday club days from the Easter holidays right through to the October half term. This holiday club is ran by our experienced Forest School Leader, Mrs Marskell. This gives children a chance to develop their outdoor skills. Activities in this session include den building, campfire cooking, woodwork and much more.

The clubs are open from 8am until 6pm, however morning sessions (8am – 1pm) and afternoon sessions (1pm – 6pm) are available, if the full day is not required. Places are offered on a first come first served basis and should be booked through the school office. A full lunch is provided for the children however a packed meal is required for their tea. As it is during the holidays no school uniform is required.

The latest from Highfield Priory

Our nursery turned into a magical apothecary as the children created their very own nature potions using twigs, leaves, petals, and even bits of fruit! 🌿✨

With lots of mixing and mashing imaginations ran wild!

This kind of sensory and imaginative play is not only lots of fun, but it also helps develop language, fine motor skills, and creativity. We just love seeing their little minds at work!

Well done to our budding potion masters! πŸ’«πŸ§ͺ

🐴🌿 HOLIDAY CLUB TRIP TO PENNY FARM! 🌿🐴

Today we had the most wonderful adventure at Penny Farm, home to over 60 rescue horses and ponies! πŸŽπŸ’›

The children loved exploring the peaceful grounds, watching the horses and ponies relaxing in the fields, and learning all about the amazing work the farm does to care for these beautiful animals. We also discovered that Penny Farm isn’t just for horses β€” it’s a haven for wild birds, insects, and other local wildlife too! πŸ¦πŸ¦‹πŸ¦Š

A huge thank you to the team at @World Horse Welfare Penny Farm for such an inspiring and educational experience. πŸ₯°
